Position Summary:
The Welder is responsible for performing high‑quality welding and fabrication work on metal components used in Air Burners’ equipment. This role ensures all welds meet engineering specifications, structural requirements, and quality standards. The Welder works with various welding processes, tools, and equipment to support production and assembly operations.
Essential Job Duties:
- Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on steel and other metals according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
- Fit, position, and clamp components for welding.
- Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity.
- Grind, cut, and finish welded components as required.
- Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas in safe working condition.
- Follow all safety procedures, including PPE use and proper ventilation.
- Report material shortages, equipment issues, or defects to supervisors.
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to welding and fabrication processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certification or formal training in welding preferred.
- Prior experience in MIG, TIG, or stick welding in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols.
- Strong understanding of welding techniques, metallurgy, and safety practices.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to ___ lbs as needed.
